R.M. Davis Promotes Community Service with Companywide Volunteer Day

On September 13, 2023, R.M. Davis employees spent the day volunteering at a site maintained by the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Scarborough.  The nearly 50 employees planted shrubs, trimmed overgrowth, and cleared brush to enhance local habitats for New England cottontails and other shrubland-dependent wildlife species.

Associates planted more than 860 shrubs throughout the day in a variety of weather conditions.  The volunteer effort was coordinated in partnership with United Way of Southern Maine.

Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1966 in cooperation with the State of Maine in an effort to protect valuable salt marshes and estuaries for migratory birds and other wildlife.
