Assistant Vice President, Wealth Management

Position OvervieW:
The Assistant Vice President, Wealth Management is a key contributor and trusted resource for clients, Client Advisors, and Client Relationship Associates. This role supports a wide range of wealth management services, with a strong emphasis on tax planning, financial planning, and client service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client & Advisor Support
- Lead monthly client work meetings with Client Advisors and Client Relationship Associates. Attend meetings with clients, as requested by Advisors
- Develop internal presentations and materials on financial planning, tax, and risk management topics. Participate in educational presentations in client forums and with third parties
- Provide support to annual Medicare open enrollment process
Tax-Related Support & Planning
- Serve as a resource and counsel for clients on basic tax-related questions and inquiries
- Participate in meetings with clients’ accountants and trust & estate attorneys to identify tax and financial planning opportunities
- Contribute to the creation of client content, including newsletters on timely tax topics
- Support clients and Advisors with tax-planning strategies (i.e., Roth conversions), executive compensation, stock option planning, business succession planning, and real estate tax considerations
Operational & Team Support
- Assist with maintaining the Wealth Management resource library, departmental templates, email inbox, and SharePoint content
- Document, save and organize all materials related to client(s) correspondence
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 5 - 7 years of experience in the wealth management or accounting/tax industry
- CPA designation preferred
- Willingness to obtain the CFP designation within two years of hire
- Interest in developing expertise in tax planning, insurance analysis, Social Security, Medicare, retirement planning, annuities, charitable giving, and education planning
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Prior client-facing experience preferred
- Familiarity with financial planning concepts and software programs, such as MoneyGuide Pro
