Meg Ogilvie
Trust & Estate Specialist

Within our Wealth Management Department, Meg oversees the maintenance of trust databases and record keeping systems.  She prepares Trust Summaries and administers required trust accountings, fiduciary tax returns, and tax payments. She monitors and interacts directly with custodians of trust funds and participates in client meetings, as requested by trustees.  Meg’s Estate Administration work includes reviewing wills, trust documents, and/or beneficiary designations of deceased clients to determine estate structure and plan for asset distribution to beneficiaries.  She works with attorneys and accountants on cost basis and other related issues as needed and prepares all necessary estate paperwork.  She coordinates with various constituents, including trustees, personal representatives, beneficiaries, internal investment managers and outside professionals to communicate, plan and facilitate decision-making about the nature and timing of distributions and to clarify roles and responsibilities.

Meg is originally from Hopedale, Massachusetts.  Outside of the office, Meg can be found running the streets and trails of South Portland or chasing her wild pup, Pippa.  She’s a lover of travel and never leaves home without a book and a plan to visit a museum.
