John D. Doughty, Vice President and Research Analyst
John joined R. M. Davis, Inc. in 2002 as Vice President, Equity Analyst covering energy, financial services
and basic industry and fixed income research. Prior to joining R. M. Davis, Inc., John was
a Vice President of Equity Research at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1998-2001 and
a Vice President of Fixed Income Research at Bear Stearns from 1994-1998. John also was a Senior Financial Analyst for the General Dynamics' Marine Services Division, Bath Iron Works from 1990-1991 after completing a management development internship from 1988-1990.
John earned his B.A. (cum laude) from Bowdoin College and his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the Maine CFA Society, the Boston Security Analysts Society and the National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts. John has served on numerous community boards including the Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America and the World Affairs Council of Maine.
John grew up in Maine and now lives in Falmouth Foreside with his wife, Wendy, and their daughter. John enjoys mountain biking, karate, geopolitics, military history, and collecting antique toys.
