Art joined R. M. Davis, Inc. in 1986 as a portfolio manager and Director of Research. Before joining R. M. Davis,
Inc., Art worked for Union Mutual Life Insurance (now UNUM) as Vice President and Director of Investment Research from 1978–1986 and was also a Trust Investment Officer for Maine National Bank from 1969–1977.
Art is a 1967 graduate of Boston College. Art is a member of the CFA Institute, Boston Security Analysts Society, Inc., and the Maine CFA Society.
Art has served on many community boards including the Catholic Diocese of Portland, the Catholic Foundation of Maine, St. Joseph's College of Maine, and the Investment Advisory Committee of the Maine State Retirement System.
Art was born and raised in Portland, Maine. He and his wife, Kate, now divide their time between Scarborough, Maine and Venice, Florida. They have three grown children and five grandchildren and enjoy sailing, music (classical piano), golf, and gardening.
